Bahrain Air adds new routes to Abu Dhabi and Calcutta

Bahrain Air started actual preparations to launch flights directly to both the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, and the city of Calicut in Kerala South of India.

In this regard, Mr. Ibrahim Abdulla Al Hamer Bahrain Air's Managing Director said
"Bahrain Air plans to expand as per the business plan which is approved by the Board Members and the Executive Management of the company. "


Furthermore, Mr. Al Hamer expressed the sincere intentions of Bahrain Air in contributing even as a simple part in raising the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Gulf Regional market by increasing the number of current destination.

Mr. Al Hamer added:
"Bahrain Air will begin, specifically in March 16, 2009 next year, running 3 weekly flights to the Indian city of Calicut, and that, as of March 23, 2009 next year will be going 8 weekly flights to the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi. The Indian city of Calicut is the second Indian destination Bahrain Air will operate on after the Indian city of Cochin, and the similar fully applies on the city of Abu Dhabi the second destinations Bahrain Air will fly to following Dubai's station. By increasing the number of stations in the Indian market and in the UAE, Bahrain Air can strongly go into to the promising market, and continues to compete in all markets to perform constantly and access to excellent rates of the market."

Mr. Al Hamer concluded "last week we celebrated the inauguration of our 11th station, Kuwait and the operation of both Asyut and Luxor in Egypt, and we are waiting for the 16th of December 2008 to inaugurate the 14th destination, Khartoum the Sudanese capital, where the number of stations in addition to both Abu Dhabi and Calcutta will increase up to 16 stations. "

With the arrival of the 3rd aircraft, the company is expanding its network and flight frequency in many of its destinations; it will increase the number of flights out of Bahrain International Airport to meet passengers demand in the region.
