Bain & Company expands focus in the Middle East region with arrival of Jochen Duelli as partner

Mr Duelli is a seasoned advisor to Private Equity funds and industrialists and a recognized business strategist. His appointment was announced by the firm's Middle East Managing Director, Jean-Marie Péan.

Mr. Duelli will become Head of Bain´s Middle East Private Equity/Corporate M&A Practice Group and will continue his involvement as a member of Bain's Global Health Care Practice Groups.

He will work closely with Bain clients on strategy development, corporate transformation, portfolio optimization and capital raising. He will also help in the organizational development, expansion, training and management of Bain teams.

"His deep expertise in sectors critical to the future of the Middle East economies will be a valuable addition to our growing capabilities in the region."

Prior to moving to Dubai in 2008, Mr. Duelli has worked intensively with PE funds and their portfolio companies. He has led multiple assignments for Health Care suppliers, providers, distributors, payers in Europe and the US. Mr. Duelli has broad experience in
strategy development and implementation, Post-Merger Integration, Mergers & Acquisitions, operational and organizational improvements.

Mr. Duelli has over 20 years of consulting experience. He was a registered Representative in Investment Banking and Brokerage in New York.

Mr. Duelli received an MA in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the University of Freiburg and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Max-Planck-Institut, Munich.

The Bain office, located in Dubai is the operating nexus for Bain's operations in the Middle East.
