Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) has qualified for the second stage of obtaining the third nationwide mobile network operator licence in Iran as part of a consortium made up of local and international partners. Omantel said the company's decision to bid to be the third mobile network operator in Iran comes within the framework of its efforts to boost its local and foreign investments by joining a global consortium.
