"We have been working in the UAE on a smaller scale for more than 10 years, but now feel that the time has come for a more focused and effective approach" says sales and marketing director of Fredericia Furniture, Ole Bjerg.
Fredericia Furniture, founded in Denmark in 1911, is known for both classic Scandinavian design, but also for many new award winning designs like the Trinidad chair by Nanna Ditzel, the Stingray chair by Thomas Pedersen, winner of the prestigious Red Dot award in Cologne, and recently a large international collection by Argentinian designer Alfredo Häberli.
Ms. Friedman has recently worked for Fredericia in Japan. Previously, she was involved with hospitality design, management and marketing in the emerging markets of Russia, Kenya and Japan.
"The UAE has taken the standard for business and tourism destinations to a new level, and great design is a reflection of that new standard. Our designs have always been ground-breaking, and I'm excited about Fredericia growing and developing together with this fast-developing new market."
