Audi Middle East reports October results

Audi Middle East has announced October sales results with an increase of 42% over 2007 as well as an increase of 21% for 2008 overall compared to the year before.

Despite its recent successes, the manufacturer emphasized that its outlook for 2009 is conservatively positive.

Jeff Mannering, Managing Director of Audi Middle East, commented:
"We are aiming for further growth in the region, but there is no doubt about it that the current economic situation will impact on the entire industry. For continued stability in prices as well as resale values, we switched to US Dollar invoicing in 2006. All exchange rate risk is borne by the currency hedging of our mother company Audi AG."


2009 will bring a new set of challenges for the manufacturer with the four rings, but with the new Audi Q5 arriving to the market and the celebration of the brands 100th anniversary, Audi is set for a strong year ahead.

Sales in the Middle East rose by 38.2% to 6,380 cars in 2007 (2006: 4,616). The current Middle East model range comprises the A3, A3 Sportback, A4 Saloon and Cabriolet, the A5, A6 and S6, TT Coupe and Roadster, the A8, S8, the Q7 and the R8.
