Al Ageel appointed as CEO for Public Telecommunications Company - Bravo Saudi Arabia

Mr Abdulrahman Al Ohali, Public Telecommunication Company (Bravo) Chairman has announced the appointment of Eng. Mohammed Al Ageel as the Chief Executive Officer of The Public Telecommunications Company (Bravo) in Saudi Arabia.

Al Ageel has more than 15 years experience in the Telecommunications sector in Saudi Arabia and the region during which he had assumed various positions; as the general manager of marketing and business development at the Whole sale business unit, and the general manager of IT at Aljawal business unit in Saudi Telecom, in addition to his former work at the governmental sector.

Moreover, Al Ageel had occupied an international position as the chairman of the GSM Arab world, as part of the international GSM Association.

It is to be noted that Al Ageel has a BS degree in computer engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, an MBA degree from King Saud University and a number of leadership trainings at INSEAD and IMD.

In this occasion, Al Ageel acknowledged the kind of cooperation between STC and Public Telecommunications Company (Bravo), and explained that Public Telecommunications Company (Bravo) is engaged with STC in a contract agreement of "Build-Operate-Transfer" (BOT) to use its iDEN Frequency band and Backbone .

Al Ageel expressed his strong confidence in the Saudi telecom industry especially with CITC professionalism in driving the sector in the right direction, to assure continuous development of the telecom industry at the Kingdom.

Al Ageel went on to explaining that

"iDEN telecommunication technology serves both enterprise and government sectors that need instant and continuous communication with a fixed monthly fees using Push to Talk (PTT) services that Public Telecommunications Company (Bravo) exclusively provides, in addition to other services including vehicle tracking and telemetric service, for transportation and utility companies, which ultimately serve in minimizing the costs usually incurred by the requirement of frequent field visits by task forces."


"Public Telecommunications Company (Bravo) is also remarked to be the sole wireless network provider dedicated to serving enterprise and government customers, which gives them reliable and secure communication during congestion or in cases of failure of public GSM networks."
