"We want everyone to take part in beautifying DIP and would like gardening fans to practice their hobby. We will therefore allocate small gardens at DIP for each family, participating schools and corporations,"said Saeed Buqarah, DIP's Chief Operating Officer.
DIP management has put in place all necessary requirements for the allocated plots, irrigation systems, seedlings and a team of expert gardeners who will supervise the garden due to be open for all participants willing to plant trees and flowers regularly.
Each participating family, company or corporation has the option of naming their plots and obtaining consultations from expert gardeners.
"The campaign will run until May 1, 2009, and DIP management will afterwards re-allocate the trees and flowers to the entrances and non-green areas of the locality. Every individual and company will certainly feel and see the mark they left behind after participating in the initiative that will not only help DIP's environment but Dubai as a whole," stressed Buqarah.
During the campaign, participants will be given necessary seedlings and equipment to plant the garden with the assistance of qualified laborers. The garden will be open to the participants throughout weekdays from morning to sunset.
