FFA Private Bank introduces Global Fixed Income Opportunities

FFA Private Bank, Lebanon's leading bank in the field of Capital Markets and Money Management, organized a conference tackling Global Fixed Income Opportunities.

The event that took place at the Biel - Pavillon Royal, was attended by over 300 persons between businessmen, executives and bankers from Lebanon and the Middle-East.

The discussions were opened by Mr. Jean Riachi, Chairman and CEO of the bank who welcomed all guests and attendees, thanking the Bank of New York Mellon, represented by its chairman in the Middle-East, Mr. Hani Kablawi and its Head of Asset Management Mr. Thomas Conolly for their presence and contribution to the event.

Mr. Riachi also presented the FFA Private Bank plans that aim to increase its role as a regional player in the markets through its Beirut and Dubai establishments in order to become a leader in the Gulf and MENA region in the Asset Management field in both Equity and regional Bond Markets.

Following Mr. Riachi was Mr. Hany Kablawi, the Managing Director of The Bank of New York Mellon in Middle East and North Africa, who introduced BNY Mellon and gave a quick review about its history.

Mr. Thomas Connolly, Head of Asset Management for the Bank of New York Mellon, came next to discuss the opportunities in global fixed income markets tackling different classes of credit.

Mr. Patrick George, Chief Investment Officer at FFA Private Bank, closed the conference after introducing the MENA Bond Market, the current turmoil's effect on it, snapshots on the opportunities in the Fixed Income Market including the Conventional Bonds and last, but not least, introducing the "FFA Fixed Income MENA Fund" that will be launched during the first quarter of 2009.
