"We are delighted to announce that Dubai Maritime City (DMC), the organisation committed to addressing the needs and requirements of the global maritime community, is the most recent organisation to become a Marine Partner," explains Marcus Jones, IMarEST's Chief Operating Officer, who will be leading the IMarEST team at Seatrade Middle East Maritime.

"Our association with them typifies the win:win relationship brought about by Marine Partner status. We are in the process of licensing with DMC, a step that offers us many interesting options; and under the terms of the Marine Partners relationship, we are now building with them, the Institute will be involved in the development of standards and accreditation for their proposed Maritime Academy."

The Institute's rapidly expanding Marine Partners initiative has well over 30 member organisations and works on building relationships with marine and offshore organisations. A customised package is designed for each Marine Partner.

"We are delighted to be official supporters of the largest-ever Seatrade Middle East Maritime,"

says Marcus Jones.

"We are looking forward to meeting senior marine professionals from throughout the region and across the many marine disciplines. In such a vibrant marine hub as Dubai the Institute is looking forward to catching up with many old friends and making new ones. We also see it as a great opportunity to explain the Institute's initiatives on membership, professional recognition, standards and knowledge management and how they will benefit individuals, employers and companies in general."
