The project includes providing equipment that aim to transform solar and wind power into energy which will be used in one of the school's buildings. The project will be launched in January 09 during the' Green Day' that is organized by the school.
The idea of the project was initiated by a group of students who are the green activists of the school named H.O.P.E that stands for (Help Our Planet Earth).
As part of its environmental responsibility, Salam Bounian is very happy to sponsor and encourage such initiatives which spread environmental awareness among the students, their teachers and their families as well as it sets an example for other schools to follow and enhance green thinking in future generations.
Salam Bounian is a private shareholding company incorporated in July 2006 as a Real Estate investment and development company with a capital amounting to QR500m. The major shareholders are Salam International from Qatar, Massaleh and Wafra from Kuwait and Amwal Invest from Jordan and most of the rest are Qatari businessmen. The company develops commercial, residential, industrial and touristic developments.
Salam Bounian sponsors green energy project
After the success of its water campaign, by sponsoring a puppet show for children in April, 08, Salam Bounian once again emphasis its commitment to environmental issues and has sponsored on November 24th ,08 a project called 'Harnessing Green Energy for Qatar Int'l School' in Doha.
