Treeck, who has previously worked on OBG projects in Dubai, takes up her new role after completing an assignment as OBG's Libya Country Director.

She said:
"I welcome the challenge of returning to Dubai as Director in an emirate which is going through a period of dramatic and exciting developments. The strategy devised for the emirate has produced remarkable growth in many sectors of the economy, notably in financial services, and also in real estate and construction."

"Dubai has been much strengthened by a dynamic diversification of its economy, and these attributes will be invaluable within the financial storm the world is facing." he added.

Treeck will oversee the team of OBG international analysts who will be based in Dubai for six months producing The Report: Dubai 2009, the premier guide to the emirate, which will feature a series of exclusive interviews with leading political and economic figures.

During her last stint in Dubai, she helped secure interviews with HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai World, Maurice Flanagan, Vice President Emirate Airlines, and Chris O'Donnell, CEO of Nakheel amongst others.

Previously she worked as a media consultant in Qatar and Turkey, and was also manager of a series of public relations projects in Australia, Germany and France.

She is fluent in German, English and French, and has a Masters Degree with Honours in English Literature and Information Science from Dusseldorf University, Germany.

Elizabeth Boissevain, OBG's Director of Field Operations, said:
"Jana is perfectly equipped for her vital new role, thanks to her sound knowledge of information gathering and assessment, and the important experience she has gained in Dubai and different parts of the Gulf region."

Rated as the premier guide for foreign direct investment into the emirate's dynamic economy, The Report: Dubai 2009 will offer a comprehensive and detailed assessment of Dubai's opportunities for growth, the economic challenges which lay ahead, and the overall attractiveness of the emirate for investors.
