Jebel Ali International Hotels supports Dubai World Cup for eighth consecutive year

For the eighth year running, Jebel Ali International Hotels has reaffirmed its commitment as sponsor of the Godolphin Mile and Official Hotel and Caterer of the Dubai World Cup 2003, the world's largest and most prestigious horse race, taking place on 29th March, 2003.

In its first year operating under the name of Jebel Ali International Hotels, the group will once again be the race sponsor of the Godolphin Mile, recognised as the world's richest 1,600 metre dirt track horse race and offering prize money of US$1 million.

As the Official Caterer of the Dubai World Cup, Jebel Ali International Hotels will continue to cater for the Al Dana hospitality marquee, which is expected to accommodate up to 2,000 guests on the day.

In addition, Jebel Ali International Hotels will this year cater for the individual corporate hospitality chalets located in the International Village, all of which have private gardens and balconies.

Gerhard Hardick, General Manager of Jebel Ali International Hotels said, 'The Dubai World Cup is the highlight of the sporting and social calendar in Dubai. Jebel Ali International Hotels is delighted to be continuing its association with such a prestigious and well-organised event, remaining the Official Caterer and of course the main sponsor of the Godolphin Mile.

'The Dubai World Cup and Jebel Ali International Hotels have great synergies, as both companies share a total commitment to providing their guests with the highest possible quality of products and services. In addition, both have worked for many years to help establish Dubai as a household name throughout the world.'

As in previous years, Jebel Ali International Hotels will also cater for the Dubai World Cup's exciting pre-event Arabian Nights extravaganza; the lavish Arabian dinner which is held at the Arabian Adventures Desert Camp Site.

Jebel Ali International Hotels benefits from a long history of affiliations with UAE sporting sponsorships, also being the official caterers for the Dubai Desert Classic, another of Dubai's major internationally recognised sporting events.

Jebel Ali International Hotels is made up of three of Dubai's most established hotel properties - Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, comprising of Jebel Ali Hotel and Palm Tree Court & Spa, Hatta Fort Hotel and the Oasis Beach Hotel.
