Jehad Kazim, Director, Legal Services Department, Dubai Chamber, said:
"With the increasing globalization of trade, intellectual property has become one of the main themes in the modern economic policies, and here lies the importance of knowledge of modern principles governing intellectual property issues and awareness of the latest international developments in this area."
Kazim added, "This training will provide the participants a solid and real understanding of the principles and procedures for trademark registration and rights granted in addition to the phenomenon of unfair competition and applications. Trademarks today are considered one of the most valuable business tools therefore it's important for the business community to identify and examine important trends and issues related to brand security and management as well as the intellectual property rights and protection."
ASIP was established in Munich, Germany on February 23, 1987 as an Arab non-governmental organization to support and develop the intellectual property system through mass awareness, education and the promotion of various awareness of the need for international protection of intellectual property among those in the Arab world and the development of laws in line with the provisions of the Paris Convention for 1883 and subsequent charters in the area of protection for the benefit of professionals and consumers, producers and the economic community in general.
