Chocolates shaped like the country's flag were also given to all hotel guests. As the evening came, the highlight of the event was a huge UAE themed cake prepared by Al Bustan Rotana's award-winning pastry chefs. All the guests of the hotel were invited to the lobby at 7:00 pm last Tuesday, December 02nd to take part in the celebration as the national anthem of the country played in the background.
The Al Bustan Rotana also participated in the National Day activities initiated by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) as the hotel's chefs headed to the Heritage Village and prepared UAE's local cuisine that was distributed to all the people who came for the celebration.
Mr. Detlef Winter, General Manager of the hotel commented:
"All these preparations and this celebration for the UAE National Day are our way of showing our deep appreciation to the country and to our local guests, who have been great patrons of the Al Bustan Rotana since the beginning."
