The Boeing 777-300 aircraft is scheduled to bring back 375 passengers from Chiang Mai to Dubai at midnight tonight. Emirates has also organised transportation to bring the passengers from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.

Previously on 29th November, our first recovery aircraft brought back 90 crew and 75 passengers from U-Taphao Airport, Thailand.

Our scheduled flights to Bangkok continue to be affected due to the closure of Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The following options exist for passengers booked on Emirates flights to/from Bangkok up to 12th December 2008:-

Passengers can choose to travel into or out of another airport that Emirates operates in the vicinity of Bangkok, such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or Hong Kong. Re-booking or re-issue charges will be waived, and the fare paid to/from Bangkok will be honoured for travel to/from the alternative airports. This re-routing is subject to seat availability.

Passengers can choose to travel into or out of another airport in Thailand, and their tickets will be reissued as per standard involuntary rerouting procedures at no additional cost.
Passengers to/from Bangkok who do not wish to re-route will be re-booked on the first available flight when the airport re-opens.

Passengers travelling on tickets issued as part of an inclusive tour by a tour operator/ travel agent are requested to contact their tour operator/ travel agent for refund or cancellation.

Emirates local offices and Airport Services are ensuring that affected passengers are well cared for. The safety of our passengers and crew is of utmost importance.
