Disease Prevention & Screening Centre (DPSC) Abu Dhabi extended its working hours

Disease Prevention & Screening Centres (DPSCs), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) through its Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), announced an increase in working hours, by adding 3 extra hours of service on a daily basis.

DPSCs operating within the city of Abu Dhabi will now operate till 6 pm daily. The new working hours however, may also be subjected to further extension if necessary.

DPSCs have been introduced with a view to streamline medical visa screening processes for the benefit and convenience of the expatriates residing in the Abu Dhabi.

"This extension in timing witnesses our commitment towards providing the capital's population comfort and convenience in the process of health check-ups and medical visa screening," said Dr. Zainab Khazaal, DPSC Manager.

"Considering the expected growth in the number of screening applicants that we foresee during the next year, we see this decision as an appropriate solution to effectively cater to all expatriates' medical requirements" said Dr. John L. Evangelista, Director SEHA-AHS. "We constantly endeavour to increase awareness and enhance healthcare standards, and this initiative will assist us in achieving both these objectives," he added.

The new DPSC revised working hours have taken effect from 1st of December 2008 and shall be reflected at Disease Prevention & Screening Center in the city of Abu Dhabi only, whereas the rest of DPSCs' centers will continue with their normal working hours.

Additionally, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) through its Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) will introduce the Disease Prevention & Screening Centres (DPSC) as the appointed sole facility to conduct the screening procedures and act as the issuing authority of Medical Fitness Test certificates and will communicate the enhanced procedures and facilities that are authorized to manage the medical screening process for expatriates residing within Abu Dhabi, Al Ain & the Western Regions that will take effect on January 1, 2009.
