Motor Show 2008 unveils latest car models in Oman

His Highness Harib bin Thuwaini bin Shihab Al-Said, Secretary General Assistant for Conferences at the General Secretariat for the Cabinet, formally inaugurated Motor Show 2008 yesterday, officially opening the biggest exhibition of the latest car models that are now available in the local market.

Organised by Omanexpo LLC, Motor Show 2008 will be held until December 6 and it is open to all motoring enthusiasts from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. On Friday, December 5, the exhibition timings will only be from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

C.J. Paul, General Manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading exhibition management company in the sultanate, said:
"We are pleased to invite all car owners and those planning to buy a car to visit Motor Show 2008 and see the latest developments in the world's auto industry as exemplified in the new car models on display."


Paul pointed out that the exhibition showcases a wide range of highly popular automotive brands with the strong participation of leading car dealers in Oman. Among the major exhibitors at Motor Show 2008 are Al Hilal Motors, Al Rumaila Motors, Arabian Car Marketing, European Motors, General Automotive Company, Reliable International Automotive, Saud Bahwan Automotive, the Saud Bahwan Group, Towell Auto Centre, Wattayah Motors, and the Zubair Automotive Group.

The automotive brands that are prominently featured in the exhibition include Audi, Chrysler, Citroon, Daihatsu, Dodge, Ford, Great Wall, Hino, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Peugeot, Seat, Skoda, Toyota, and Volkswagen. The presence of various brands from the world's major auto manufacturers makes Motor Show 2008 a veritable showcase of the latest 4-wheel drives, sedans and hatchbacks, sports utility vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, pickup trucks, saloon vehicles, luxury vehicles, motorbikes and commercial vehicles.

"Motor Show 2008 reflects the continued growth of the auto industry in Oman, and it highlights the latest advances in design, technology, safety and overall performance of the new car models that have been introduced locally," Paul explained, adding that it's the consumer who ultimately benefits from continued developments in the industry.

Motor Show 2008 is supported by V-Kool Oman as the platinum sponsor, Bank Muscat as the gold sponsor, and Ahli Bank as the floor plan sponsor. Automan Magazine is the event's official publication, Al Wisal is the official radio station, while the media partners are Times of Oman, H!, Al Shabiba, and Alyo Malsabeh Magazine.

Consistent with its aim to serve the needs of all car owners and potential car buyers, Motor Show 2008 also features a wide range of auto parts & services as well as various motoring products and services. Among those on display are automotive tyres, genuine

Toyota parts, heat-control films, car loans and car insurance products, motor oils & lubricants, automotive lighting, reflectors, mirrors and many other products.
