The exhibition, which has been jam-packed with visitors since its official inauguration on Wednesday, will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Thousands of people have visited Motor Show 2008 over the past three days, and the exhibition centre is once again expected to be filled to capacity today as large crowds rush to get a final glimpse of the new car models that are now available in the local market.

C.J. Paul, General Manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading organiser of trade and consumer shows in the sultanate, said:
"Motor Show 2008 is, by far, the most successful edition of the event ever since we first launched it in 1990."

"The latest car models from the world's major auto manufacturers are truly impressive, and the exhibition effectively showcases the exciting developments in the industry with the participation of leading car dealers in Oman that represent a wide range of automotive brands," he explained.

Paul pointed out that Motor Show 2008 prominently features the newly launched models of 17 popular automotive brands, such as Audi, Chrysler, Citroën, Daihatsu, Dodge, Ford, Great Wall, Hino, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Peugeot, Seat, Skoda, Toyota, and Volkswagen. The various types of vehicles on display include 4-wheel drives, saloon cars, sports utility vehicles, pickup trucks, luxury vehicles, sports cars, sedans and hatchbacks, trucks, minis and convertibles. Many of the new models were unveiled during the exhibition itself, marking their formal introduction to the vibrant auto market in the sultanate.

Motor Show 2008 also showcases all-terrain vehicles from Yamaha and Polaris, Yamaha motorbikes and the Segway personal transporter. In addition, the exhibition displays a wide selection of auto parts & accessories as well as motoring products and services, including car loans, heat-control films, comprehensive car servicing/maintenance, automotive tyres, car insurance, Toyota genuine parts, lubricants and many other products.

Additional major attractions for visitors are the various activities being conducted outside the exhibition centre and within the stands of participating companies. These exciting activities include live band music, dance performances, driving simulations, PlayStation games, and RC car racing. The previous three days also witnessed the Harley Davidson slow race as well as the Red Bull break dancing and BMX stunts.

Motor Show 2008 is supported by V-KOOL (Oman) as the platinum sponsor, Bank Muscat as the gold sponsor, and Ahli Bank as the floor plan sponsor. Automan Magazine is the event's official publication; Al Wisal Radio is the official radio station; and the media partners are the Times of Oman, Al Shabiba, H!, and Alyo Malsabeh.

The major exhibitors of Motor Show 2008 are the leading car dealers in Oman, including Al Hilal Motors, Al Rumaila Motors, Arabian Car Marketing, European Motors, General Automotive Company, Reliable International Automotive, Saud Bahwan Automotive, the Saud Bahwan Group, Towell Auto Centre, Wattayah Motors, and the Zubair Automotive Group.
