Livestock prices hike on Eid

The UAE Ministry of Economy has warned traders and suppliers not to increase livestock prices, and violators can be fined up to Dhs25,000, Khaleej Times has reported. Traders at the livestock markets in the UAE have hiked their prices to cash in on Eid Al Adha.Owners of shops said hikes of sheep prices are due to the rental increase, the rise in shipping costs and the international financial crisis.
