Local manufacturing firms gear up for ATF 2008

Dubbed as Eid's ultimate shopping extravaganza, ATF will house a special Omani products zone displaying locally manufactured products from December 10 to 19 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
With Omani products now competing with international brands, Mr. Hassan Mohamed, OITE's Sr. Manager - Festivals said, "ATF is an ideal venue for local companies to showcase their products and to sustain their growth in the growing market amidst the global economic crisis. The Omani products zone is also a special opportunity for consumers to see, touch, buy and get familiar with local products."
Numerous local brands are all set to showcase locally-manufactured products, with the intention to encourage consumers, institutional buyers and companies to try such local produce.
Local companies participating at ATF 2008 include Oasis Water Company LLC, Al Diwaniya Perfumes LLC, Areej Vegetable Oils & Derivatives SAOG, Abu Mohammed Bookshop, AL Zamaredha Trading, National Tea Company, United Dates Factory Company LLC, Omani Dates International LLC, The National Detergent Co. SAOG and Al Tiyab Al Afia Trading, Nationality Company LLC and among others.
ATF has been well received on the international arena and has attracted overseas exhibitors from UAE, India, Egypt, Pakistan, Thailand, Syria, Kuwait, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon, Bahrain, Singapore, Malaysia and Kenya among others. The event is a showcase of a wide variety of products ranging from general giftware, food stuff, bags, toys, stationery, flowers, furniture, shoes, leather products, crockery, perfumes, leisure products, lighting and household wares, as well as fashionable garments and accessories, among others.
