Habiba Al Tawqi 'Diamond Life' book autography ceremony launched

In a ceremonial atmosphere autography celebration and press conference to introduce the first book of its kind in the Arab world written by Habiba Al Tawqi Arab Children Congress Ambassador 2007 was held at the premises of INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Organization Est.

Habiba the young child inflicted by diabetes illustrates in her book the challenging episode of her long journey with the disease given the title "Diamond Life."

Eng. Anas Al Madani Vice president of INDEX Holding who sponsored the publishing of the book, Mrs. Sue Parry the editor and Dr. Khawla Belhoul President Sweet Kidz Group along with diabetic children and families attended the press conference and autography celebration.

Diamond Life illustrates a number of positive and challenging happenings in the life of Habiba.

Habiba since her early childhood inflicted by diabetes disease at the age of four years, she fought back vigorously with determination and cause to a productive member of her society.

Habiba fought against a disease, which challenges the very livelihood of Arab Children and the Society.

Habiba in her book "Diamond Life" intended to address a wide spectrum of the society, governments, Non Governmental Organizations NGOs, health, educational, cultural and sports institutions.

The focal aspect of Diamond Life Book is to give an insight and detailed episode of Habiba life.

How she lived with the Diabetes, how she won the battle against it and how she has made it a cause rather than an issue.

She has dedicated a considerable time of her life to enlighten the society of the need to intervene in the early stages of the disease to secure healthy life.

Diamond Life sends messages with varied educational, cultural, scientific, health and practical contents to children, families and to the members of the society of the significance of dubieties culture and knowledge among children and elderly people.

Diabetes today and since many years endanger and threaten the livelihood and lives of a wide segment of Arab Children.

The number of Arab Children inflicted with diabetes has increased significantly in the recent years and registering double-digit increase due to illiteracy, ignorance or because of food and nutrition habits of Arab societies.

Habiba book embodied her biography and her agony experienced by her family, friends, and doctors and nurses her fight against diabetes during her long journey through Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Sultanate of Oman, besides Belgium, Pakistan, Malaysia, India and France.

In the press conference Habiba expressed her immense thank to His Majesty Sultan Qahboos Bin Saeed Sultan of Oman for the great help extended to her.

She also thanked Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain wife of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai for paving the way for her to dissimilate her message to all Arab Children and for selecting her as Ambassador to Arab Children Congress 2007.

"I thank all those who have extended assistance and help in publishing Diamond Life Book and my special thanks are extended to Index Conferences and Exhibition Organization Est. and to Mrs. Sue Parry for editing Diamond Life."

Habiba said.

Mrs. Sue Parry for editing Diamond Life said that she was honored by editing the precious book Diamond Life.

Its best aspects it encourages and teaches children and families to confront difficulties caused by diabetes and in adopting protective measures against this disease.

Dr. Khawla Belhoul President Sweet Kidz Group thanked Habiba for her excellent work and for writing Diamond Life.

"The book is an excellent work it teaches our children how to fight against diabetes". Dr. Khawla said.

Our initiative comes within our social responsibility strategy to help all needy segments of the community with special reference to ailing children in the Arab World from diabetics and other diseases.

Al Madani concluded extending his thanks to the press and media representatives and urged them to focus on this important issue of diabetes among Arab children.
