The new GV-R487D5-1GD is built on the highly anticipated ATI Radeon HD 4870 GPU and features 1GB/256-bit high-speed GDDR5 video memory, delivering blazing-fast frame rates with enhanced, leading-edge performance for tomorrow's demanding applications and 3D games. Featuring a wide range of the latest graphics technologies including native DisplayPort connectivity, TeraScale graphics engine, ATI CrossFireX support, Unified Video Decoder 2 (UVD 2) and ATI PowerPlay power management technology, the Gigabyte GV-R487D5-1GD is able to push graphics performance boundaries to new heights.

Mr. Iman Mozaffari, Product Supervisor- Golden Systems Electronics, says:
"We are pleased to introduce Gigabyte's latest graphics card which delivers ultimate graphics performance in this region. Gigabyte's new GV-R487D5-1GD features ATI's all-new TeraScale graphics engine, boasting teraFLOPS of GPU computing power with 800 stream processors and nearly one billion transistors. Equipped with incredibly fast 1GB GDDR5 memory, the GV-R487D5-1GD is able to deliver nearly two times the memory bandwidth of the previous generation, allowing new levels of ultra-realistic physics gaming interaction. We are confident this card will be well received in the Middle East."

In combination with 24x custom filter anti-aliasing (CFAA) and high performance anisotropic filtering, the GV-R487D5-1GD is able to create true-to-life graphics effects for everything from grass to facial features, allowing users to max out the settings of the most demanding next generation games or revitalize favorite current titles. The Gigabyte GV-R4870 also provides DirectX 10.1 graphics capabilities with support for Shader Model 4.1, to further enhance 3D gaming effects with life-like realism.

Benefiting from ATI Avivo HD video and display technology, the GV-R487D5-1GD fully supports UVD 2 for decoding processing-intensive content for 1080p HDTV and HD video, with additional support for dynamic contrast and enhanced DVD upscaling. The GV-R487D5-1GD is also able to take full advantage of Blu-ray functionality with dual-stream, picture-in-picture (PIP) capabilities and one-cable HDMI connectivity.

In order to provide the best digital audio/video interconnection between a computer and display monitor or home-theater system, the Gigabyte GV-R487D5-1GD is capable of outputting DispalyPort signals. The new generation DisplayPort interface supports higher resolutions, richer color depth, and increased refresh rate performance, delivering 10.8Gbps of bandwidth over previous generations of connectivity options such as DVI, LVDS and VGA. With added DisplayPort connectivity on the GV-R487D5-1GD, PC gamers are able to play all the latest games on their large-screen home theater displays, providing an audio and visual experience unmatched by any of today's console gaming systems.

To help reduce PC power consumption, the GV-R487D5-1GD features the unique Gigabyte Ultra Durable 2 design, featuring high quality components with ultra power efficient properties. In addition, the Gigabyte GV-R487D5-1GD features ATI PowerPlay technology, maximizing performance per watt by delivering the highest level of performance when needed and conserving power when the demand on the GPU is low. Gigabyte graphics products are also 100% RoHS compliant, ensuring that from manufacturing to usage, Gigabyte provides the greenest computing solutions with the industry's highest power efficiency.
