Suzuki's Grand Vitara compact utility vehicle, Swift sporty car, and APV Family Van proved to be the fastest sellers in the Qatar market. Teyseer Motors opened a new showroom for the commercial segment of the APV to further highlight the success of the model. The distributor is also set to open an additional service center dedicated to Suzuki customers and has deployed an Autosoft workshop management system to enhance service capabilities and customer satisfaction. Teyseer Motors plans to focus more on bulk and fleet deals in the near future.
Medhat Greiss, General Manager, Teyseer Motors, said:
"The robust sales of Suzuki vehicles across Qatar affirms the appeal of the brand to the domestic market. Given today's challenging financial conditions, local automobile owners want models that are economic, reliable and stylish and at the same time capable of adopting to Qatar's unique driving environment. Suzuki products meet these needs and more, which is why we can look forward to even more consumer patronage as we further enhance our services and marketing approaches"
Teyseer Motors has conducted various marketing and promotional activities to enhance Suzuki's sales performance. These include a summer promo offering free petrol cards, shopping vouchers, maintenance and registration; a special pricing scheme for Swift and Grand Vitara models as part of a promotion by Al Sulaiman Travels; and participation in high-profile local events to provide additional exposure for the brand. The Suzuki distributor is currently offering free maintenance and registration as well as attractive prices for 2008 models.
Earlier this year, Suzuki incorporated key modifications to its 2008 Grand Vitara to enhance the SUV's overall performance, looks and comfort. One of the significant changes to the Grand Vitara was the newly-designed petrol engines; the latest version of the SUV is powered by a choice of 2.4-litre four-cylinder and 3.2-litre V6 petrol engines to enhance performance. Further, driving was made quieter by a redesigned power train and new acoustic materials; off-road performance was improved by hill hold control and hill descent control (applicable to the five-door vehicles with the 3.2-litre petrol engine only); and braking performance was improved with the adoption of rear disc brakes.
The new Grand Vitara also gets a jazzier and tougher look with new designs for the front grille and bumper accentuating the sportier exterior. In addition, sporty, on-road-oriented 17-inch and 18-inch aluminium alloy wheels, outside door mirrors with built-in turn signal lamps, and new body colors add to the SUV's overall appeal.
