UN Doha Conference hosted at the Sheraton

Around 40 Heads of State and numerous ministers and heads of delegations attended the said Conference.

On the morn of 28th November 2008, the flags of the United Nations and the State of Qatar were raised at the Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel as the property was turned-over to the United Nations for the Conference.

Sheraton Doha's management team led by the General Manager, Mr. Gerhard Foltin, had series of meetings with the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and United Nations to collaborate on the success of the said Conference. For the duration of the conference from the 29th November 2008 until 2nd December 2008, the hotel management and staff provided service excellence to nearly 40,000 food covers in both the conference area and hotel outlets.

This has been another feather on the hat of Sheraton Doha Hotel which is known to host successful international conferences and events such as this one. Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, the Presidents of United Republic of Tanzania, Republic of Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Seychelles, Costa Rica, Croatia, Chad, Zimbabwe, Panama, Algeria, Tunisia and many more.
