Set to reinforce the rapidly growing popularity of the GM brands - Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, HUMMER and Saab - with Middle East car buyers, and backed by the energy and commitment of the dealer network, the new 2009 model year line-up will ensure that GM vehicles offer customers the best value in the market place.

Alongside a raft of major product enhancements and upgrades across the range of carlines, the new line-up presents a number of new model highlights. Chevrolet is launching the Traverse, an expressively styled and well-equipped family crossover that introduces the brand into the growing crossover sector for the first time, as well as the funky new Aveo5 small car. The Sierra Denali luxury pick-up makes its first appearance
for GMC.

Arriving in the region before the end of the year, Cadillac is launching its flagship car in the large luxury SUV category, the Escalade Platinum, as well as the fastest production V8 sedan, the CTS-V. HUMMER is set to reveal its second entry in the luxury pick-up segment with the new H3T. Customers can also look forward to a number of other great new models that are just round the corner: Chevrolet's Cruze and Malibu are set to go on sale early next year, just before the highly anticipated sports coupe, the Camaro.

Geoff Thomas, Vice Chairman of the General Motors Middle East Franchise Board and General Manager of National Motor Company, GM dealer in Bahrain, commented:
"The new 2009 model year line-up provides customers with an unbeatable choice of great value cars. As GM dealers we are extremely excited by the new product that we have on offer and this confidence is demonstrated by the recent opening of a number of new facilities, with more set to open across the region in 2009. All of which is designed to ensure that we can provide the highest levels of service that our customers demand."

Speaking about the new 2009 model year line-up, Fadi Ghosn, Marketing Director, General Motors - Middle East Operations, explained:
"At a difficult time for car buyers and manufacturers across the world, General Motors is delighted to have this exciting new line-up of cars available for Middle East customers, on time and as planned."
