Exhibiting for the first time at INDEX 2008, Dorma highlights the opportunities for growth in this sector through collaboration between the industry players. INDEX 2008 is taking place at Dubai International Exhibition Center from 3rd - 7th December 2008.

"For architects and designers who wish to design and implement their projects through to the finest detail, and differentiate their work, the integration of the design, installation and servicing of doors is very important."

said Ben Shaw, Regional Director, Dorma.

"The broad spectrum of Dorma's offering can equip the interiors sector with a great deal more elements of beauty and functionality than the simple placement of doorways and partitions. It's about building environments that transform space, whether it's offices, residences, hotels or any other type of building, into those of luxury and comfort. We can work with interiors specialists to design, install and service all the door requirements for their projects as one turn-key solution."

Dorma is exhibiting a number of its Red Dot award-winning products and designs at INDEX 2008, such as the Contur.

These designs offer a unified appearance at the detail level to contribute to the overall atmosphere of a room's interior.

The Contur design is characterized by distinctive lines, a cubic shape and hallmark perforations.

Dorma products can be readily and harmoniously integrated within almost any room design, contributing to its integrity of appearance and overall aesthetic clarity.

Some of Dorma's flagship projects in the Middle East include the Burj Dubai, the Fairmont Dubai, the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Dorma Gulf is built over 6,500 square feet at Jebel Ali Free Zone area and services the region's construction sector meeting the growing demand for better technology in door and access systems.

The emerging regional market growth trend in the Middle East saw the company investing in a major regional expansion plan in recent years, opening activities in a wider product line and with a direct presence in important regional markets such as Saudi Arabia, where major construction projects are consistently growing to meet explosive market demand.

Dorma Gulf's projects include the provision of over 300 automatic sliding door operators designed to provide passengers using Dubai International Airport with maximum ease of access.
