Dubai issues call to renew healthcare licences

  • United Arab Emirates: Thursday, December 11 - 2008 at 09:55

The Dubai Health Authority has issued a circular to all healthcare professionals in Dubai, announcing the start of its 'grandfathering' process, the term used for the renewal of all existing healthcare licences held by all physicians, across both the public and private sectors in the emirate. The grandfathering process forms the first part of the first phase of the new regulations being introduced by the DHA to ensure that all physicians in Dubai meet the new criteria for obtaining a new license. This will eventually be extended to include new licenses for all healthcare facilities in the emirate as well.
