Barwa signs Memorandum of Understanding with Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities

Barwa Real Estate, one of the premier organizations in the State of Qatar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities, a non-governmental Qatari body and a member of the Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities.
Dr. Youssef Al-Horr, President of Strategy and Investment, Barwa Real Estate and Mr. Youssef Al-Kazim, Secretary of Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities and the Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities, along with many directors and officials at Barwa as well as Qatari media representatives attended the event.
According to the MoU the two partners will share experiences and services in voluntary activities and contribute in all activities, projects and voluntary functions initiated by Barwa and its subsidiaries. Besides, Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities will train Barwa volunteers according to the latest training programs of voluntary work adopted by the Center. The Center will partner with Barwa Voluntary Activities Committee in all the voluntary activities in Qatar.
In addition, the center will provide technical support to Barwa Voluntary Activities Committee (BVAC) through ensuring its participation in all conferences, exhibitions and workshops related to voluntary activities.
Mr. Ghanim extended his deep thanks to Sheikha Dr. Mona Bint Soheim and to Qatar Center for Voluntary Activities for their efforts in supporting Qatari and Arab voluntary work and continued: "We at Barwa are very aware of supporting voluntary works by all means, based on our motto 'For the Future of Qatar' and on our foundation theme as well as the loyalty we have towards Qatari society."
Sheikha Mona Bint Soheim thanked Barwa Real Estate for its initiative and support for the center and voluntary work: "We are aiming at a meaningful, fruitful and strategic partnership with Barwa in general and with Barwa Voluntary Activities Committee in particular, hoping that both sides will accomplish their goals in encouraging voluntary work which benefits the whole of Qatari society."
It is worth mentioning that BVAC works within Barwa's corporate social responsibility framework according to the company's board of directors care to support voluntary activities. Barwa believes that voluntary activities a strong indication of the humanitarian ethics of society, since it works to deepen the integration and communication among people, as well as to encourage cooperation and develop community spirit.
The Committee aims to establish a team for supporting internal and external functions and activities by the efforts of volunteering employees, as well as spreading knowledge of volunteerism among staff to develop their awareness of the importance of volunteerism and providing useful means to spend the spare time of Barwa's employees.
