New Qatari TV channel showcases nation, with on-air idents created by Lambie-Nairn

Al Doha TV, a new television channel created by the Organising Committee of the National Day Celebrations of Qatar , goes live with idents and graphics created by Lambie-Nairn.

The channel will broadcast for one week as part of this year's celebrations surrounding Qatar's National Day. The programming for the channel will include live coverage of the celebrations as well as a mixture of documentaries, talk shows and news bulletins that cover both modern life and traditional aspects of Qatar -- from its culture, tourism and business -- to industry, education and sport.

Al Doha TV will feature Lambie-Nairn's channel and programme idents as well as a news package and on-screen presentation graphics. Using graphical and live footage along with the country's national colours of maroon and white, the identities create an animated world which showcases the many exciting opportunities in Qatar.

Lambie-Nairn's appointment to the project was part of a competitive pitch process which included seven agencies in total.

The channel will be on-air 16 - 22 December 2008.
