CBB's monthly issue of Treasury Bills oversubscribed

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the BD5m monthly issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 200%.
The issue date of the bills is 14th December 2008 and the maturity date is 14th June 2009.
The weighted average rate of interest is 3.00%, compared with 2.70% for the previous issue on 23rd November 2008.
The approximate average price for the issue was 98.506%, with the lowest accepted price being 98.506%.
This is issue No.1213 (ISIN BH000A0UDG99 (of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BD180m.
