Nasser Butti Alshamsi assigned as Assistant Secretary General - Public Sector Reform

The General Secretary of The Executive Council of Dubai has announced the assignment of Mr. Nasser Butti Alshamsi as assistant secretary general - public sector reform.
The new mission of Alshamsi covers government strategic human resources, service delivery improvement, and public administration and governance.
He will support the executive council in defining and delivering the Government's public reform agenda and objectives and driving coherence, quality and delivery of government services improvement policy across government departments.
Moreover, he will work to ensure the civil service is organized effectively and has the capability in terms of skills, values and leadership to deliver the Government's objectives.
Alshamsi graduated from the American University, Washington DC, in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
He is an alumnus of Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development.
He was the IT director at Dubai civil defense (DCD) where he participated in building the IT infrastructure and managed the implementation of Dubai eGOV initiave at DCD by leading the eGov team.
He was the regional director for Dubai and the Northern Emirates at the Emirates Identity Authority.
He directed the implementation of the authority enrolment strategy and the Government Relationship Policy.
He has supervised the setup of the Program Management Office in the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, he was the director of corporate excellence.
