Emirates NBD recognizes the achievements of UAE's Australian community

Emirates NBD, the largest banking group in the region in terms of assets, has always set recognizing excellence within the UAE community high on its agenda.
The ceremony, which recognized outstanding business and entrepreneurial achievements within the UAE's Australian community, was held at the Safina Ballroom in Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Hotel on the 19th of November. The grand evening of celebration was hosted by Australian Icon Rove McManus and featured live entertainment from a series of international artists.
It gave Emirates NBD an ideal opportunity to extend its eclectic range of Al Shaheen Priority Banking services to the movers and shakers of the Australian community in the UAE, which is estimated to be 20,000-strong with around 600 companies. This event was the first of its kind, and was organized by the Australian Business Council of Dubai.
"This award ceremony helped us take a significant step forward in providing banking services to people from different countries that have made the UAE their home, and we are very happy to have been a part of it," said Mike Solimani, Head of Priority Banking and SMEs at Emirates NBD. "We have always made a concerted effort to reach out to a larger, more diverse audience, and being associated with achievers from different walks of life augurs well for the Emirates NBD family as a whole," he concluded.
Over 500 prominent achievers from the Australian community were present at the ceremony, during which Ashfaq Mattoo, Head of SME Banking, Emirates NBD presented the award for Entrepreneur of the Year. On the whole, the evening saw 11 Business and three Special awards being given away to members of the Australian business community.
Al Shaheen and Emirates NBD had a prominent presence at the event through branding, collaterals and publications that gave those present an insight into its unique world of priority banking services. Dedicated to meet the varied banking and investment needs of affluent customers, Al Shaheen offers a wide range of products and services designed with their specific needs in mind, such as priority application servicing, tailor-made investment products, dedicated account managers, extended business hours and more.
