The OPP awards, which were held in London last week, seek to showcase the best marketing and partnership initiatives run by property companies from all over the world.

Damac Properties has a long history of working closely with a network of agents, who sell and market its properties across the world. And the company works hard to provide training and support to this key group of people. Damac Properties currently has in excess of 7000 partners in 90 countries across Europe, Africa, America, South America, Asia and Oceania.

Mr Peter Riddoch, CEO of Damac Properties, said:
"The OPP award is a further endorsement of our commitment towards our agents and demonstrates the success of our strategy in supporting them. Agents are very important to our success and as a company we try to do all we can to encourage support, understanding and loyalty to the Damac brand and all it stands for and represents. Therefore we are delighted that the panel of judges at the OPP awards have endorsed our approach and recognised the value we place on working in partnership with our agents."

The company has a strong agent programme backed by the Damac Agents Academy, an in-house training and encouraging commission system. The Damac Agents Academy offers first-rate sales training certification courses for its agents. Teaming up with the world renowned Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA), the academy offers Agent Partners an opportunity to hone their selling skills.

Mr Riddoch added that winning the OPP award was a clear indication that Damac Properties offered one of the best packages of support in the industry. In key markets, the company's commission rates are amongst the highest paid by any developers, and are also increased based on performance.

He said, "We are committed to our agents since a large share of our business is due to their efforts. We believe that property companies who can demonstrate their commitment to their agents by improving and developing their working relationships and partnerships are those who will continue to prosper and grow. We hope that this award will help the company attract even more new partners around the world."

To provide support to its partners, Damac properties gives its agent's full access to its marketing resources through a dedicated agent's website and access to the company's Agents Relationship Team. The core objective of the Agents Relationship Team is to ensure that support is delivered to all agents and their customers through locally based sales offices.
