As part of RSA's community outreach, RSA employees spent the day entertaining the children at Seef Mall with a special trip to the movies and lunch out at the Seef Mall food court. The day of fun and excitement for the children ended with a special awards ceremony during which RSA handed out gifts and mementos to the children.

"While most companies tend to look at community outreach and corporate social responsibility as a requirement to remain competitive in today's market, we view them as essential building blocks of our business and a fundamental part of our mission and vision. We hope to create a sense of partnership through these activities with the communities in which we operate, and hope that our efforts help brighten the days of these children and others in the community,"
said Philip Dominic, Country Manager, RSA Bahrain.

The first ever Middle East Volunteer Week was well received by both RSA employees and the Bahrain community. In addition to the special outings for the Isa Town Elderly Home and Manama Children's Home, RSA employees donated blood at the BDF Hospital and also collected donations from clients and customers, visitors and the employees themselves to the tune of BD 150 which will be put towards further community outreach programs in the future.

Despite this being the first time that RSA has organised a regional Volunteer Week in the Middle East, most RSA employees have already given a lot of their time to volunteer services, through various programmes.
