Mariam Al Ali, Head of Recruitment Section at DHRD said during her speech that the forum aimed disdcussing some of the most important issues that face our nation at present and future, such as unemployment.
On behalf of H.E. Saqer Ghubash, UAE Minister of Labor, Humaid bin Damas, the Acting General Manager at the Ministry of Labor (MoL), said:
"The UAE MoL aims at meeting the increasing demand for qualified human resources in today's growing market. The ministry works along with other ministries, federal authorities and local governmental institutions to achieve that goal. The MoL stresses the importance of involving the private sector in this issue to reach our target, and to create a balance between supply and demand in the job market using a development plan with a clear futuristic vision for our national economy that would address the challenges it faces."
Stressing on the forum importance, Fahad Al-Hassawi, EVP HR, du, said, "This initiative by the Sharjah government represented by the Sharjah department of human resources supports the Emiratization efforts in the UAE. It is in-line with our own Emiratization strategy across the UAE ever since our launch and therefore we have joined hands."
Al Hassawi added, "It represents a tremendous opportunity for us and other participants in the forum to explore Sharjah's Emiratization needs. We wish the forum all the success."
At the end of her speech Al Ali said, "(The DHRD) extends its appreciation to the companies which sponsored this successful event; the official sponsors (AD Gas, SHALCO, Damas Community, Danah Gas, du communications and Sharjah Islamic Bank), media sponsors (Al-Khaleej newspaper and Sharjah TV) and the Sharjah University, the event's participating sponsor."
