Qatar 3G sales up 91%

The regional sales of 3G mobile telephone handsets is set to hit the 300,000 unit figure this year, according to Axiom Telecom, the industry's largest mobile retailer. In Qatar, more than 280,000 3G mobile phone units were purchased up to September 2008 compared to just 148,000 in all of 2007, an increase of over 91%.
