The purpose is to explore important issues covered by a new analytical research paper - IPRA Gold Paper 17 -with input from senior practitioners, CEOs and other thought leaders worldwide.

Titled: "Public Relations and Collaboration: The Role of Public Relations and Communications Supporting Collaboration in a Complex, Converging World," the paper explores and advances the concept that globalization can be a catalyst to redefine the role and purpose of public relations in globally integrated enterprises, so as to be of greater strategic value to both business and society.

The paper delves into the fact that globalization (characterized by new levels of interdependence and interconnectedness) presents transnational corporations with new challenges and unprecedented opportunities for collaboration with an array of stakeholders in and across diverse countries and cultures, to create sustainable value for business and society.

According to Faisal Al-Zahrani, IPRA GC president,
"Mr. Grupp's visit and these meetings provide regional public relations professionals with an opportunity to learn about exciting new concepts and trends in global public relations."

In addition to the meetings, and with the IPRA-GC board, Mr. Grupp and Mr. Al-Zahrani will sign an agreement of cooperation between IPRA and IPRA-GC.

A networking cocktail party and reception will be held on Wednesday, December 17 at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina from 5-7 pm.

The sponsors for this event are the Westin Hotel and Pinnacle PR Training.

On Thursday, December 18 from 5-7pm a special roundtable discussion to help define the role and value of public relations in business diplomacy will be held at the UAE Center for Documentation and Research in Abu Dhabi.
