The delegation has prominent CEO's and directors from leading Dubai companies who will be speaking and giving presentations on various economic topics on the sidelines of the Forum.
Speakers at the Forum include Khaled Al Kamda, CEO of Dubai Islamic Bank who will be talking about the Financial sector while Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO, Empower, Ali Bin Towaih, Director of Sustainable Energy and Environment Division (SEED) - TECOM Investments and Saeed Khoory, Group Chief Executive, ENOC, will be talking about the Energy sector.
The Healthcare sector will be represented by Haidar Al Yousuf, Transition Director, Dubai Health Authority and Abdullatif Al Sayegh, CEO, Arab Media Group and Ahmad Bin Hassan Al Shaikh, Chairman of Printing and Publishing Group, will speak about the Media/IT sector while Abdullah Al Qurashi, CEO, Dubai Aviation City & Dubai Logistics City, John R. Ewing, Chief Commercial Officer, Dubai Maritime City, and Ibrahim Al Janahi, Senior Vice-President, Commercial Sales, Jafza, will give their presentations on Logistics & Foreign Trade scenario in Dubai.
The Director General of Dubai Chamber informed that the Forum comes as part of the Chamber's strategy in providing newer business opportunities for its members and the business community in Dubai.
The meeting serves as a fitting platform for businessmen from both sides to open up communication channels and promote and consolidate economic and trade relations between Dubai and Hamburg, besides signing up a number of important strategic partnerships.
Said Buamim,
"The stupendous success of the first session of the Business Forum held in Dubai last year led to the organization of this second Forum as once again we are out to provide all necessary support to the business community in the emirate, and to promote Dubai's investment opportunities and its status as a global trading hub in front of the Hamburgers."
Buamim highlighted the geographical importance of the two strategic cities of Hamburg and Dubai as he said that while Hamburg is the gateway to Europe Dubai is the most important entry point to the Gulf region and the two cities have a lot to share and work in cooperation in the areas of important economic sectors like logistics, energy, finance, medical and information technology.
