Abu Dhabi to host region's largest gathering of super yachts

Informa Yacht Group (IYG), the leading global yachting events organizer also behind the Monaco Yacht Show, confirmed today that more than 18 of the world's leading super will be showcased at the upcoming 2009 Abu Dhabi Yacht Show (ADYS) and that over 80 exhibitors have signed their participation.

Due to take place from March 12-14 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), ADYS will be the region's first show dedicated exclusively to super and mega yachts -ranging from 30m to 100m. ADYS will feature the finest products, latest innovation and trends to the rapidly developing luxury yachting industry.

Invitees will be able to see internationally-acclaimed brands such as Sea Pros Yachts - CRN, Custom line, Ferretti - Wally Yachts, Westport, YachtPlus, Art Marine, Gulf Graft - Benetti and Azimut - XSMG Marine and Rodriguez displaying their finest yachts. VIP attendees will also find the leading shipyards, brokers, naval architects, consultants and service companies mixed with the major names in interior fittings - such as Greenline Interiors, Warwick, YCO and many more - presenting their latest elite creations.

The world leader in the large yachting business, Wally Yachts, has chosen to showcase one of the world's fastest motor yacht Wallypower 118, a 118-foot luxury yacht high performance superyacht -with a maximum speed of 60 knots (70 mph, 110 km/h) - that brings technology and fashionable design together in perfect harmony.

Westport Yachts will be showcasing their luxurious super yacht, W130, an elegant tri-deck motor yacht that offers exceptional luxury, convenience, privacy and spirited performance. W130 features five stateroom arrangements, including an on-deck master stateroom, as well as an enclosed sky lounge with bar, an outdoor spa tub and a curved sun lounge.

London based YachtPlus Ltd is planning to showcase its stunning 'Signature series' 40m motor yacht which is designed by world renown Architect Norman Foster and built by Rodriquez Cantieri Navali in Italy. 'Signature series' demonstrates a completely different approach to yacht design and allocation of space within the yacht. Interestingly, YachtPlus has created a new concept in yacht's shared ownership for a flexible and financially sensible way of living the super yacht dream.

Internationally-acclaimed in the world of large and modern yachts Benetti will showcase 'Benetti Tradition' 30m yacht, a stylish and spacious performance motor yacht with a cruising range of 2,050 nm at 10 knots.

The Rodriguez Group, the leaders in luxury yachting will be presenting their latest launches at the ADYS including the 31.4m motor yacht 'Mangusta' which cruises at over 30 knots and offers charismatic, impressive and stylish design.

Locally, Gulf Craft, the leading player in the global boat and yacht manufacturing industry will be showcasing three yachts at the show. Founded in the United Arab Emirates in 1982, Gulf Craft manufactures fiberglass yachts in three distinct brands; Majesty Yachts, Oryx sports Yachts and Cruisers and the Silver Craft sport fishing and sport cruiser boats.

Further confirmed yachts at the ADYS include the 88.5m opulent Lauren Motor Yacht by 4Yacht Arabia, which provides unique venue for large luxury events such as, receptions, product launches, board meetings, celebrations, cocktail parties...etc. Sea Pros Yacht will be showcasing five of its most impressive super yachts including the brand new CRN 128, Custom Line, Pershing and Ferretti Yacht.
