The Gigabit Router has intelligent hardware which uses up to 70% less energy and a WPS button for easily creating a secure wireless network.

In a wired network, this router operates at a speed of up to 1000 Mbps, so that large files can be quickly downloaded, copied and shared; the ideal solution for multi-user environments and demanding applications, such as streaming HD video and audio, VoIP, multiplayer games and transferring large quantities of data.

In a wireless network, this 802.11n draft 2.0 compatible router operates at a speed of up to 300 Mbps.

Commenting on the functionality of the WL-306, Mr Khalaf bin Saif Al Otaiba, CEO, Al Otaiba Communications said,
"In environments such as small offices and homes with a number of computers, full advantage can be taken of what this Gigabit Router has to offer, such as speed, range and functionality. In today's context where there is an increasing focus on 'Green Technology', the energy saving feature will be a benefit to the environment and to users."

For users who prefer a wired network, the Gigabit Router has an integrated "5 Port Full-Duplex 10/100/1000 switch", which is up to 10 times faster than a standard network.

The amount of energy that is saved depends on the length of the cable that is used and the link down application that is integrated in the router.

The shorter the cable, the less energy is used: when the cable length is less than 10 metres, 20% less energy is used and when the cable length is between 10 and 50 metres, up to 10% less energy is used.

Furthermore, this device has a "link down" application. When there is no connection with the network, up to 70% less energy than normal is used.

The applications described above ensure that users can quickly and easily create a secure network that uses less energy.

This device also has three removable 3 dBi aerials which ensure an optimal range.

Sitecom 'Pure E-motion' range of network products combines an innovative design with the latest wireless technology to meet the demand for simple, user-friendly solutions for Home Networking. Sitecom has designed this range with a clear vision: to provide an unprecedented "out of the box experience" where even inexperienced users can create a fast, secure network connection.

The Pure E-motion range distinguishes itself because of its modern design in warm chocolate brown and cream colours, making sure that the products suit any interior.

User-friendliness has played an important role in the development of this range.

Firstly, Sitecom has chosen to have an easy-to-follow instruction manual consisting of clear images which makes it understandable for a wider target group.

Furthermore, the N products in the Pure E-motion range have a WPS button to create a secure connection with the push of a button without the need for any complicated software configuration.

To make things even easier, there are concise instructions on the bottom of the router.

The Pure E-motion range is presented in distinguishing packaging which suits the style of the product, where clear communication and simplicity take centre stage.

With the 802.11 draft 2.0 N product range, users can count on unprecedented performance of networks in environments with several users and demanding applications, such as HD video and audio, VoIP, multiplayer games and the transfer of large volumes of data.

The 300N Sitecom products excel in streaming media, thanks to the integrated WMM (Wireless Multimedia) technology.

This enables data streams or network tasks to be executed simultaneously and seamlessly by multiple users in the same household.
