Leviton opens regional office in Dubai

The hardware giant having the strongest and most influential patent portfolios for industrial components and fixtures and rated # 1 in brand preference by builders and electrical contractors in the United States is investing $2m in ramping up it's business in the Middle East and is expected to double it's investment every year going forward.

Mr Ramzi Nassif, newly appointed Managing Director of Leviton Middle East will lead the company's efforts in growing the business in the region. The immediate focus will be on commercial networking and structured cabling business as well as lighting management solutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bruno Filio, Vice President International Business Development at the privately-held firm, commented:

"The opening of the Leviton office in Dubai is a sign of our commitment to the Middle East market which is an important and growing market that has demonstrated high demand for Leviton's Network Solutions products. We are potentially looking at manufacturing in the region in four or five years time."

Leviton in recent years has been experiencing tremendous growth outside of North America where its legacy began over 100 years ago. It currently makes around 10% of its $2bn annual turnover from international sales and is looking at new geographic territories considering the saturation of mature markets like the US. It is now investing resources in the Middle East region which it realizes is the most exciting and fastest growing market in the world because of the ongoing construction boom and oil wealth.
