This workshop was conducted on the sidelines of the 4th Annual Conference on Technology Commercialization which has occurred on November 12-13 under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan in Le Meredien Hotel in Amman, Jordan under the theme 'Technology Transfer: R&D and IP Commercialization, Policies, and Investments'.

Mr. Valeri V. Souchkov, the workshop trainer, is an internationally renowned TRIZ-based Systematic Innovation expert and trainer with two decades of worldwide experiences in this field. He pioneered, facilitated, and delivered TRIZ-based projects and workshops to universities, major government agencies, and different organizations such as DuPont, DSM, Siemens, Shell, TNT post, Sekisui, Capgemini, Unilever, LG group, and Posco.

During the workshop, the participants received innovative hands-on applications that increase productivity and performance of individuals and organizations through understanding creative techniques in solving conflicts while using resources, systems, and processes efficiently. Upon completion of the workshop, the participants from various sectors in Jordan and neighboring countries received their graduation certificates from Mr. Souchkov.

After graduation, workshop participants have acquired new skills and ideas that assist them in performing their jobs intelligently. The Executive Director of the QRCE, Mr. Basel Kilany emphasized to the graduates that at their institutions they are the pioneers of the techniques of TRIZ-based Systematic Innovation and urged them to role model what they learned from the workshop. Mr. Hussein Al-Natsheh, the program manager of QRCE, said, "This workshop provides the participants with a rare opportunity to implement innovative methods in their work environment."

Prior to the present workshop, the QRCE introduced TRIZ-based Systematic Innovation in Jordan for the first time ever in June 2007 and then once more in April 2008 underscores their significance and stresses on the QRCE to consider holding a new workshop in the near future.

In addition to organizing TRIZ-based Systematic Innovation workshops, the QRCE is planning to create an institute that offers consultancy and training services to large companies and research centers in the area. The workshop is particularly important to economists, technology managers, innovators, inventors, business developers, intellectual property specialists, engineers, IT specialists, our sponsors, universities and research centers, innovation supporting institutions, manufacturers, and regional public community.
