The products in the Post-it recycled range include Notes, Super-sticky Notes and Super-sticky Easel pads, which all include a minimum of 30% recycled postconsumer content and additional green attributes.

"This is a product range that truly embodies our environmental commitment as a company, and communicating this commitment to markets around the globe has essentially been 3M's way of doing business over the last 30 years."

commented Pankaj Sharma of 3M.

"The UAE has made it clear that it is committed to promoting environmental sustainability through recycling - as demonstrated through the efforts of organizations like the Emirates Environmental Group and other groups that are, like 3M, seeking to make a difference for future environmental protection."

The Post-it Recycled Notes are made with 100% recycled paper and are available in traditional canary yellow; Post-it Super Sticky Recycled Notes come in a colour palette which reflects the rich colours of nature and are designed for vertical and hard-to-stick surfaces; the Post-it Super Sticky Recycled Easel Pads are bleed-through resistant sheets that stick longer to more surfaces than other easel pads yet remove cleanly and the Post-it Recycled Notes in cabinet packs are a convenient storage solution in a 100% recycled carton, which supports package reduction efforts by eliminating individually wrapped pads.

Moreover, all of 3M's Post-it Notes are recyclable.

3M has made a long-term pledge to environmental stewardship with the introduction of the 3M Corporate Environmental Policy, which is a deeply rooted commitment to the environment and protecting the planet for the future.

Sharma stated; "In the office environment paper is frequently wasted, yet so much can be done to stop this damaging practice, which forms a part of our efforts."

"In light of the fact that every tonne of recycled paper will save 17 trees, 2,3 cubic metres of landfill space, 32,000 liters of water and 27kg of air pollutants; using recycled Notes - or even recycling normal Post-it Notes - will have a measureable, positive impact on the environment of the UAE and our planet as a whole," added Sharma.

For more than a century, 3M has been making products that make people's lives easier and better.

3M is successful because it listens to customers' needs and interests then creates products and solutions that address these concerns.

This line was developed to integrate recycled content, thus providing more options to address environmental concerns in the marketplace.

3M vigorously affirms its commitment to sustainable development through environmental protection, social responsibility and economic progress.

3M recognizes that the company's long-term success springs from adopting and implementing the principles of sustainable development: stewardship to the environment, contributions to society, and to the creation of economic value and worth.

At the same time, 3M recognizes that only by continuing to be a viable and successful enterprise can it continue to be a positive contributor to sustainable development.
