Lancer Evolution X - gets a revision

Al Habtoor Motors LLC has announced new reduced prices for its entire range of Lancer Evolution X 2009 MY cars.

While the popular 5-speed GSR manual transmission model now costs Dhs.159,000, the 5- speed GSR manual with Performance Pack which includes 18'x 8.5' BBS Forged Aluminium wheels, 2 piece Brembo front disc, with an alloy mounting bell - 1.3kg lighter per wheel, front and rear Bilstein sport shock absorbers and Eibach spings all round will cost Dhs167,000.

There's also the 5-speed GSR manual with the Performance pack, Rockford Fosgate Premium Sound system with a high power amplifier, 9 speaker system and base box, Leather and Alcantara Recaro upgrade front and rear including heated seats, 5 kg more sound deadening, and keyless entry and starting system costing Dhs173,000.

Totally new to the Evolution range is the dual clutch transmission, SST TC 6-speed GSR automated manual tiptronic and paddle shift option available at Dhs164,000.

Finally, for those who love performance and appreciate fine luxury, there's the 6 speed SST full option with the Performance Pack, Rockford Fosgate sound system, the Recaro leather & Alcantara seats, and the keyless entry and starting system for Dhs179,000.

On its home terrain, the open asphalt, the Lancer Evo X is known to give some supercars (at least twice its price) a run for their money, and when it comes to getting from point A to B in the fastest time, it will quite often arrive at point B, the quickest. In fact, it is popular industry knowledge that the Evo's have always been one of the quickest in the saloon car category in a point to point race format.

The new Lancer Evo X is yet another step up the Evolution ladder with its S-AWC (all wheel drive control system) that makes the Evo grip in corners like a roller coaster with glue on the rails!
