The MPH is a multi-specialty health facility that is deeply committed to providing the highest level of personalized care to all types of cardiovascular patients.

MPH is also Oman's first private facility to provide cardiac surgery services. With a reputation of being experts in their field, surgeons at the MPH will treat patients with cardiac conditions resulting from: ischemic heart disease (angina or heart attack), valvular heart disease (severe heart murmurs), congenital heart defects (abnormalities present since birth), cardiac arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms), and aortic aneurysms (damage to the main artery carrying blood from the heart to the body). The cardiac surgery program at MPH is lead by the highly experienced Senior Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Dr. Taha Al Delamie, who has a regular Out Patient Clinic at the MPH.

"In order to ensure successful surgery and post surgical recovery, MPH is well equipped with the best and latest in terms of technology. We have a 24-hour Critical Care service in place, and a team of highly experienced cardiologists at MPH who lend their services and support to the cardiothoracic program. MPH has also recruited cardiac trained nursing staff in the theatre and in the intensive care unit. In collaboration with the rest of the multidisciplinary team, the newly appointed nursing staff will provide patient focused, evidence based care, guided by clinical protocols throughout the patient pathway. Furthermore, the heart lung machine will be managed by a highly experienced perfusionist, and anaesthesia administered by seasoned cardiac anaesthetists" says Gary Dorahy, Country Manager, Muscat Private Hospital.

He further adds:
"The newly appointed staff for this specialty has been chosen with the aim of ensuring that the highest level of care and medical governance is provided to our patients. We are also pleased that we will finally be able to make a contribution to Cardiothoracic Care in Oman; and provide the best in cardiac surgery services to our patients, with the help of our highly skilled physicians, nursing and allied health staff."
