The appointment comes as the company re-brands its community development practice to recognise the full service capabilities it provides to buildings and infrastructure clients throughout the region.
Mr. Smith has 25 years' experience in the commercial development, transportation, and water sectors. A registered professional civil engineer, his experience includes managing design and construction for major infrastructure improvement programmes around the world. His recent work has included providing management services for a nation-wide housing and infrastructure development programme being delivered in Libya, and managing delivery of a new transit system in Houston, Texas (USA). Mr. Smith is an industry-recognised expert on water resources, previously chairing the Transportation Research Board's Committee on Hydrology, Hydraulics and Water Quality. Smith is based in Dubai.
