Mustafa Al Ansari, Vice President - Operations, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, focused on the Foundation's key achievements since its inception last year.
In his presentation, he also elaborated on the application process, terms and conditions, as well as the selection criteria for the two scholarship programmes.
During the meeting, Al Ansari said:
'Today's meeting underlines the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation's determination to reach out to the UAE and Arab youth and ensure they benefit from our scholarships offerings. The Foundation's regional roadshow is just another reflection of our determination to explore all possible avenues to communicate our message to potential future Arab leaders who can steer and contribute to the development of the Arab world.'
'The regional trip is part of a wider campaign that also includes press advertising and direct communications. Through leveraging our link with leading partner universities, both regionally and internationally, we seek to promote the Foundation's scholarship programmes among their Arab students. The overarching goal is to take the message to every Arab who demonstrates leadership qualities and the ability to contribute to building the Arab world's future.'
Led by Al Ansari, the Knowledge and Education delegation will embark this week on phase two of the regional roadshow, which has already covered Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Yemen.
The next leg of the Foundation's region-wide meetings will focus on GCC countries.
In Kuwait, the Foundation is scheduled to host an event on 18 December at Ramada Hotel, on 21 December at Sheraton Doha, and on December 22 at Sheraton Manama.
The roadshow will conclude with a final meeting on 24 December at Crowne Plaza in Muscat.
Launched in April 2008, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Pioneers Programme extends the necessary financial support to talented Arab youth seeking to acquire a Master's degree at leading universities in the Arab World.
Through the Fellows Programme, launched late last year, the Foundation has opened up new horizons for aspiring Arab students to obtain postgraduate degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Public Policy (MPP) and Finance from leading international universities.
