The exclusive distributor and dealer of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in Saudi Arabia set up a temporary test-drive center at a roundabout on Tahlia street, Jeddah's premium shopping area of high-end stores and malls.

The initiative was an instant hit with over 500 people visiting the center in 20 days and over 300 test drives conducted along a specially prepared test-drive route to really experience what it can mean to drive a Mercedes-Benz. Visitors had the opportunity to test drive the entire range of vehicles from the C180k to the S350L and SL500. In addition there were a range of AMG vehicles on hand from the C63 to the CLK63 Black Series to try as will. There was also a Maybach 57S on special request.

Safi Kobeissi, General Manager of Juffali Automotive Company, explained:
"Everyone is familiar with the three-pointed star but not necessarily how they drive - its comfort, safety and performance."

"That's why we decided to take our cars to precisely where our potential clients spent most of their time, so that they do not have to go out of their way to get a feel of a Mercedes-Benz," he said.

"It was a huge success," said Kobeissi, "and we are already preparing to take our test-drive centre next to Riyadh and Dammam."
