Trend Micro to establish EMEA Shared Services Centre in Ireland

The Centre will consolidate finance, order management and shipping operations, currently based throughout Europe, in a single location. This will allow for the streamlining of business processes to promote even greater levels of consistency, efficiency quality and responsiveness of Customer Service.

The opening of the new Shared Services Centre reflects the growth of Trend Micro as a company, as well as the consolidation of the EMEA business units as a regional entity. Company revenue increased 37% 2001 - 2002, with an increase in operating income of 46% year on year.

The opening of the Centre underlines Trend Micro's emphasis on continued growth of its global business and commitment to its customers."

IDA Ireland (the Irish Government's Investment and Development agency) has welcomed Trend Micro to the region, and will be providing support for the establishment of the Shared Services Centre, which Trend Micro expects to be functional by July 2003.
