Tatweer signs partnership with Caprice Holdings to bring restaurant brands to Dubai

Tatweer, a member of Dubai Holding, today announced it has signed an agreement with the restaurant group Caprice Holdings Ltd ('Caprice Holdings') to open a series of signature restaurants in Dubai.

The partnership between Tatweer and Caprice Holdings will be unveiled with the opening of the first restaurant, Rivington Grill, in Dubai.

The restaurant brings authentic British flavors to the Middle East with its internationally acclaimed hallmarks of quality and simplicity in the food and beverage, design and service. It will open in the Souk Al Bahar on 20th December 2008.

Caprice Holdings, owned by entrepreneur Richard Caring, operates some of London's best known restaurant brands.

The Group includes The Ivy, Rivington Grill, Le Caprice and Daphne's, as well as private members' clubs including The Club at The Ivy and Annabel's, amongst other eminent establishments.

Designer Martin Brudnizki, of London design firm Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, who also created the interiors of other Caprice Holdings restaurants including Scott's and The Club at the Ivy, has designed the simple yet elegant décor of Rivington Grill featuring whitewashed walls, stripped wood floors and bespoke deco furnishings.

Tim Hughes, Chef Director of Caprice Holdings, has worked closely with Kelly Jackson and Chris Lester, Executive Chefs of Caprice Holdings Dubai, to create a menu that caters to the city's multicultural and cosmopolitan mix, whilst remaining faithful to Rivington Grill's core values.

The new venture is part of Tatweer Investments' vision of creating a diversified portfolio of quality brands and original concept dining experiences in Dubai.

Tatweer Investments is the development arm of Tatweer, mandated to extend the conglomerate's existing portfolio and create innovative investments and partnerships in Dubai and overseas.
